Flood Damage Restoration Process

Flood damage can occur for a number of reasons. Most commonly, floods are caused by broken water pipes, but may also be caused by natural disasters.  FireStorm makes it easy to repair your house from flood damage – giving you one less thing to worry about in the midst of a stressful water situation. The team will assess the damage, evaluating the key areas involved with the harm caused by a flood. This process includes:

  1. Turning water off and locating the leak’s origin
  2. Extracting water from carpets, using an extractor that meets the needs of your situation
  3. Removal of carpet pad, if needed
  4. Install new carpet
  5. Installing temporary air movers to more quickly dry the water damage
  6. Evaluate mold infiltration using a mold reader tool*
  7. Treat and remove mold using Microban ® Disinfectant or bleach
  8. Furniture removal and repair
  9. Accessing damaged  furniture/appliance removal service
  10. Installation of new dry wall through a non-invasive, less expensive process
  11. Repaint interior walls
  12. Custom door and trim replacement
  13. Checking the home’s electrical wiring system, if affected by water
  14. Assessing all plumbing and repairing, if needed

*CSF uses only the best professional tools to get the job done. We use the MMS Plus moisture measurement meter by Protimeter, which can determine moisture content of wood so your wood floors, trim, and other wooden surfaces don’t stay damaged.  It can even measure moisture non-invasively through radio frequency.
